If you would like to spread the word about Teddy Bears as Collectible Art,
there are several ways you can do this - whether you are a collector or an artist!
WHY would you want to spread the word? The answer is obvious if you are
an artist - but why would you as a collector want to spread the word? The simple reason is so that the artists whose bears you love are able to continue making those bears! The best way to accomplish this is to continually bring new collectors into a hobby that is very much unknown.
One very simple way to help is to leave back issues of teddy bear magazines in public places when you are done with them. I like to put a label on the ones I leave so people know it's OK to take them home with them. It also has this website listed on it so if they are interested, they can look up this site and learn more about the wonderful world of teddy bear collecting.
If you would like to do the same, I have made my labels available as a PDF file here which will open up in a new window. It was formated for Avery Label #8163. You can also just print them on regular paper and use clear shipping tape to affix them to the magazine cover. I place it in the lower left hand corner myself.
I also left room at the bottom of the label for you to include your own website if you like!
